Congratulations. You're already a journalist! Well, sort of. What you see is a rather plain version of your broadcast. The URL at the top of your page is the actual web address of your broadcast. It's what you'll want to share with friends. For now, let's take a look at what's on the page.
Across the top of your page is the menu bar with information about you and your broadcast. From left to right are: our logo, your avatar (or our default), your byline and status text, the icon to share this broadcast via email, the number of subscribers to your broadcast, a link to contact any author, how many 'stars' you've received for great writing, the search box, the flagging icon, the help icon, and the logout link. You'll also see the link 'My Homepage' which will bring you to your homepage from wherever you are on PNN.

We've already chosen a general look for you and put a couple of items on the page, you can change or delete them anytime you want. May we suggest that you leave the social widget in the right column of the page, it gives visitors a fun random way to browse PNN.
Your toolbox is already open along the left side of the screen. If not, click on the "Open Tools" icon in the top left corner of your screen, just below the menu bar. The toolbox gives you quick access to most of PNN's features and your all-important preferences.
Now look at the items on your page. You'll notice blue edit bars at the top of each item. You can use this control bar to move an item, open the edit tool box or delete an item. We only provide these edit bars while you are in edit mode (when the toolbar is open). The image below is what the edit bar looks like when you're in edit mode. If you would like to move an item at any point you can hold down the mouse button (over the blue area) and drag the item to another position. Try it... It's fun!
